Increased Fly Ash Benefit Results
Holding total cementitious content fixed at 1,010 lb/yd³, fly ash was raised from 22% to 33% of the blend—replacing more cement each step. Normally that means weaker concrete. With Trident, every blend gained large amounts of strength.
Fly Ash % = fly ash as a share of total cementitious content (cement + fly ash = 1,010 lb/yd³ in every mix). Trident dosed at ~1 oz/yd³ where used. More fly ash normally lowers strength—especially early—because it replaces cement.
+1,827 PSI
Best 28-day gain
At 21.7% fly ash, Trident vs. its control
+1,450 PSI
28-day gain at 33% fly ash
Largest fly ash blend tested—gains still hold
+25%
33% FA beats 22% control
Trident at the highest fly ash blend (6,076 PSI) tops the lowest-fly-ash control (4,843 PSI)
